Membership for the 2024-2025 ios open. The season starts from November 1st and runs until 31 October the following year.
We have moved to a new membership season with Tri NZ which is now included in our membership process. We like any affiliated club, pay fees to the National body and we have reduced our Race membership fees to cover this. As a member of MTC you will now have a Social TriNZ membership. If you want to race any TriNz event around New Zealand including the National series or Ironman etc, then you need to purchase TriNZ Club membership. This can be done as part of the MTC membership process.
If you are planning to be a member of the MTA Junior development squad you also need to become a TriNZ member for the season.
Please register online before attending your first event for the season, to gain the benefits of a membership.
PLEASE NOTE: THE MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE HAS CHANGED. RACE MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NOW SEPARATE TO CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEES.
These are our new membership fees:
2024/25 Junior Club fee, Junior Race fee and Tri NZ Social membership = $49.00
2024/25 Adult Club, Adult Race fee and Tri NZ Social membership fee = $77.20
These were our previous membership fees:
2023/24 Junior Club, Race and Tri NZ Social membership is $60 + processing fee
2023/24 Adult Club, Race and Tri NZ Social membership is $80 + processing fee
We have three Club membership options, Juniors under 23, Individuals 23 and over, and Family membership. (1-2 Adults and school aged children). This allows you to be a member of the club, without racing at our local club events. This level of membership is more for those who want to be part of the Manawatu Tri Club and race at events outside our club level. It is also required to be selected before you can choose our Race Membership. You can still race our local events but need to pay the race entry fee each time.
2024/2025 Junior Club (under 23 years) - $5 + processing fee
2024/2025 Adult Club (23 years and over) - $10 + processing fee
When you select the Club membership, you are also given the option to purchase the Race membership. This gives you all these benefits. e.g. must be purchased if you want to race at our local Manawatu Tri Club events.
The membership fees are reviewed annually at the AGM.
This means you can participate as part of the club races for free; "Kids I tried the Tri" Series (for Under 13 - you will still need to register online before 1st Feb 2025 for free entry to this event), and other events that we may add during the year. 2024/2025 Junior Club (under 23 years) - $20 + processing fee 2024/2025 Adult Club (23 years and over) - $40 + processing fee
This means you can do all of what is described above. This membership covers 1-2 adults and school aged children. Prices will vary depending on the number of family members. e.g.
2024/2025 Family Membership (must include minimum of 1 Adult and 1 child Race memberships and 3 Club memberships) - ranges from $155 - $200 + processing fee, depending on membership selections and number of family members.

This is a compulsory part of your Club membership. The Manawatu Tri Club have reduced their Race membership fees to help cover your TriNz social membership, which is minimum level of membership you must have when joining.
