Becoming a Member

Membership for the 2026-2027 is now open. The season starts from November 1st and runs until 31 October the following year.

Our new membership season remains associated with Tri NZ, which is included in our membership process. We like any affiliated club, pay fees to the National body. You now have the option between a Social TriNZ membership, or if you want to race any TriNZ events around New Zealand including the National series or Ironman etc, then you need to choose the TriNZ Club membership. This can be done as part of the MTC membership process.

Please register online before attending your first event for the season, to gain the benefits of a membership.

PLEASE NOTE: THE MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE HAS CHANGED TO CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEES ONLY AND YOUR CHOICE OF TRI NZ MEMBERSHIP. A DIAGRAM IS POSTED BELOW TO HELP EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENT OPTIONS

These are the new membership fee options (excluding processing fees):

Youth (under 12) Club fee and Tri NZ Social membership = $5

Youth (12-16) Club fee and Tri NZ Race membership = $20

Junior (16-22) Club fee and Tri NZ Social membership = $25

Junior (16-22) Club fee and Tri NZ Race membership = $30

Adult Club and Tri NZ Social membership fee = $30
 

Adult Club and Tri NZ Race membership fee =$55

What are the Membership fees made up of?

1. MTC Club Membership

We have two Club membership options, Juniors under 23, and Adults 23 and over. 
 

Junior Club (under 23 years) - $5 + processing fee

Adult Club (23 years and over) - $10 + processing fee

2. TriNZ Membership

TriNZ Social - minimum requirement when becoming a member of an affiliated club

TriNZ Club - allows you to race in national and international events without paying the one day fee.

The membership fees are reviewed annually at the AGM.
